I still use a pair of trainers that DS2 grew out of very quickly and hardly wore.
Also still have school fleeces of both sons that I wear in the garden. They are both in late 20's now. The clothes I and DH wear in the garden are old and seen better days.
Grow your own saves on food miles and cash. A couple of packets of seeds - lettuce and rocket have kept us supplied with salad leaves this winter. Far less waste too.

I've still got the coat I bought for my Mum's funeral in 1996. It was bitterly cold and I had to go out and buy a suitable coat. It's a wool/cashmere mix which comes down to just above my ankles. I still wear it if the weather is very cold, it's so warm.2
