Mortgage advisor requesting bank statements ‘up to yesterday’

Had my MA on the phone and he was requesting bank statements up until 20th April (yesterday)

do any banks generate like this? He seemed to think I could select a range of dates and have a statement made up... but everything I see (Halifax) is just statements over fixed periods (usually up to the 27th of each month)

anyone else had this request/issue? He’s a mortgage advisor so I’d imagine he’d know what he’s talking about... but I can’t see how to get them generated liked he’s requesting.

@capri84 Most banks won't generate this. I'm guessing it's for his own due diligence so he should be happy with the official statement that goes to the latest available date, along with an online transaction statement (showing sort-code / account number) for the remaining period until yesterday.

It would be a transaction list from the latest statement.
But it is not normal, usually just the last 3 statements are enough.

    HALIFAX

    Login to online banking
Simply select ‘View statement’ on the account you want to view from your account homepage.
You’ll see your current balance, available funds and transaction history.
Search your statement history for any transaction in a three month period.
You can choose to export your statement, print it, or order a paper copy using the options at the bottom of the statement page

If you cannot get statements to the date you need, download transaction list.

  • If you go to 'pdf statements' in online banking and select 'April' then it will produce a statement up to yesterday

Mine asked for similar (in 2019); they were happy with the official statements + a screenprint of my current account from internet banking.
