Are charity shops accepting donations again yet?

Options
Wonder if anyone knows the situation pls?  Having built up a goodly pile of items to donate, is it too soon to deliver them to the charity shops?

thanks

I would check with your shop(s) of choice either by ringing first or calling in & asking.

It will depend on the individual shop, I'd guess the same charity across the country may have different rules depending how much stock they already have and how much has been donated since they reopened. Different charity shops in the same town will probably have different rules.

I rang my local hospice shop yesterday to confirm they were accepting donations, they are but only between 09:30 and 12:00.

  • Look online first, Website, Facebook page as they do vary.

Failing that phone, it will save a possible wasted journey.

They may also not be accepting everything. My local Barnardo's is only accepting soft things at the moment, due to lack of storage.

I work in a charity shop and we are accepting donations but it's  best to phone first .
