Vendor pulled property during Mortgage Application

Hi, I’m in the uncomfortable position where the seller has decided to pull the property before the Mortgage Offer has been received.
Has anyone had a similar experience? I may be wrong but I’m assuming the application won’t be able to be ported to another property. I’m obviously concerned as I’ve had a Hard Check placed on my credit file.

Depends on the lender as to whether it's a full application or change of address.
It's ok to have a couple of hard searches with mortgage applications as usually it's one or two lenders people try for various reasons.

@scotty75 Pre-offer, it almost certainly means a fresh application unfortunately. One or two hard checks won't (by itself) stop you from getting a mortgage or significantly impact your chances.
It's not uncommon unfortunately. Just yesterday I had a client call not an hour after a full application had gone in saying that he was just told that the vendor has now decided against moving.I am a Mortgage Adviser - You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
