Started my first graduate job a few weeks before I stumbled across this article and contacted payroll as soon as I read it. I’ve since received almost 500 quid in matched contributions on my employer’s pension scheme — and eternal gratitude from my mates when I told them to do the same. Don’t think I’d have given pensions a second thought at the ripe old age of 21 without this blog, and pretty sure payroll assumed the same! Cheers Martin!
