Dental and Health Insurance/Plans etc

Hi all,
Firstly mods if you feel this needs to be in a different section of the forum please move.
I am looking for dental cover. I have recently had to move far away from my previous residence and where I am now it would appear NHS dentists are as rare as hens teeth (no pun intended). No one will accept me and I even have exemptions and I swear that puts me at the bottom of the list for treatment.
So I am looking to get cover so I can go private as it will be more affordable. I would need a full check up including xrays, a hygienist appointment and possibly partially through wisdom teeth to be removed and some fillings (I would prefer these to be white) if possible I also want the cover to include cosmetic treatments, tooth whitening and braces.
I have also recently got contact lenses from SS for £13 per month under their DD scheme and get my eye tests from them.
Also I have recently been diagnosed with severe mental health issues and the recommended treatment is unlikely to happen on the NHS and I don't have the funds for private care. On top of this it is likely in the next couple of months my treatment will be court ordered as it is that severe so I am hoping I can get dental cover and mental health cover under one policy if not two separate policies.
Thoughts on best providers etc?

From the dental point of view, most monthly plans like Denplan and similar require you to be 'dentally fit' before you can sign on to them - so any necessary work will need to be done before you can sign up.
Monthly plans don't cover any work that is purely 'cosmetic' though, and won't cover orthodontics either.
Don't worry about the wisdom teeth. If they require treatment, you could easily get referred to the oral surgery dept at the local hospital for this, and so like any other secondary care NHS service, that will not cost you anything. You will still be referred to an NHS hospital for this even if your dentist is private.
A 'cash plan' policy might give you some money towards the cost of getting things made 'dentally fit', and the contact lenses- but I know very little about these.
If you've already been diagnosed with other medical & mental health conditions, then getting any sort of cover for that would be highly unlikely from any provider as well. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.1 -
Thank you.So cash plan first then onto something like Denplan?0
