Thanks both. MB said he’d be putting it through yesterday however I’m assuming with my immigration status it might take a little longer than the standard DIP

What rate did you get? I've been trying to find rates for the new scheme mortgages but most of the bank websites don't seem to have any details listed.
I'm being offered 2 year fixed at 3.9% or 5 year fixed at 4.04%. Both without product fees.
SVR follow on is 3.59%  on both of those.

depending where you see rates could go

with the 2 years you could switch to their retentions when you hit 90% or take the 100% switch rate which are a bit lower than SVR

    2 Yr Fixed Switcher 90% 2.84% £995
    2 Yr Fixed Switcher 90% 3.18% £0
    5 Yr Fixed Switcher 90% 3.24% £995
    5 Yr Fixed Switcher 90% 3.74% £0
    2 Yr Fixed Switcher 100% 3.00% £995
    2 Yr Fixed Switcher 100% 3.25% £0

    edit to fix the typo
