Women's walking trousers for hourglass/pear

I would like to buy a decent pair of walking trousers but when I've tried some on there seemed to be minimal allowance for wide hips (it was a while ago so I can't remember the brands now), and if I were to size up, they'd be huge on the waist/thighs.
Any recommendations for brands/styles to try? Budget wise I'd like to spend £60 or less, but I'm a master at finding a bargain so more expensive suggestions are fine.

Why not just have a google?
Milletts seem to be having a sale now : https://www.millets.co.uk/womens/womens-clothing/trousers/
Just do a general internet search, there's a lot out there. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. I used to wear proper walking trousers - Peter Storm, Brasher, Berghaus etc - but then changed to exercise leggings that have 'wick away' properties.Good quality ones are thick and super comfortable. But if you want traditional fabric and maybe waterproof, I guess your best bet is to go somewhere that have Mountain Warehouse, Trespass, TOG24 etc and try them on.1

OP - I've gone the same route as Pollycat and now wear mostly leggings. The annoying thing is they don't have pockets. I solve this by mostly using a trail running pack as a day sack as it has front and side pockets for easy access, but they tend to only go up to 15l. The 'Evadict' range of trail running clothing from Decathlon has a rare women's legging/capri that does have plenty pockets and I also really like those.
If you don't like the look of leggings there is the option to put a pair of loose shorts/skirt on top, but to be honest I just find they get in the way.
If you find a good pair of hippy trousers let us know!4 -
I wear Craghopper Kiwi Pro Stretch, they're fab and comfy and fit my ample pear shaped frame nicely! I do wear a belt to help cinch the waist in a little. If you search on amazon or ebay you can usually get a pair around £20-£30 instead of the £45+ rrp2

Thanks, I'll start with the Craghopper Kiwi Pro Stretch.
I'm not currently going out shopping (not that you can try on before buying I don't think), and OH always side eyes me buying loads of clothes to try when I'm only planning on keeping one or two.
I've previously been wearing my running leggings, but the lack of pockets is irritating (though I now have a Flip Belt which I adore and thoroughly recommend) and I don't always want to wear a rucksack as I sometimes get sore shoulders. I did notice that more and more brands are adding thigh pockets to their leggings, but the two pairs I have like that are a bit thick for summer walks and I wonder whether a looser fitting trouser would be more comfortable.

Is there any reason you want proper walking trousers? I have always just worn average comfortable, slightly baggy clothing for exercising rather than anything special, and it hasn't affected anything at all.
I have sympathy for finding clothes, I'm a bit of a weird skinny apple and my body parts are different sizes!0 -

Especially when I got a brand new pair of Craghoppers Kiwi Pro for the astronomical sum of £9.99 on eBay.They fit well, I'm looking forward to trying them out. Thanks for the recommendations.
