Help please, I was PAYE and sole trader but I was made redundant at the end of last year. I still have my little business with no income. Can I ask for job seekers allowance and if so how do I declare it when I do my tax return?
Thanks
Thanks

If you do end up claiming (question may be better on the Benefits board) and receive some taxable benefit then there is a box for it on your Self Assessment return.0

You can ask for it . Only 'new style' (contributions based) JSA is now available and wlill depend on whether you have paid sufficient class 1 National insurance over the last two completed tax years (2018-19 and 2019-20). Otherwise the benefit would be Univeral Credit, if you have less that £16,000 in savings
