Mortgage Rates - Buy now or wait

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for some advice, as I don't know much about mortgage interest rates personally. I do know (or rather have been told) that they are historically low right now and thus I'm thinking if I should buy a property now. I don't really have a perspective on how fast/slow interest rates go up and down, so I'm not sure if there should be a sense of urgency on my part to try to buy asap.
I respect that no one can predict the future of course, but I would be keen to hear people's thoughts / advice on this. Should I think about buying now? If I wait, say, half a year would the interest rates rise (or fall) significantly or is it a slower process?
Thoughts much appreciated!

Buy when you feel ready to buy
no good trying to guess interest rates. If you wait 6 months and they’ve gone up are you going to be kicking yourself then for waiting?MFW 2026 #5007/03/25: Mortgage: £67,000.00
