MONEY IN LISA BUT BAD REPORT

Hi, my brother and I are looking to buy a property together. I currently have £10000 in a LISA account. My credit history isn’t great though. In 2017/18 I missed a number of payments due to an extremely rough time in my life. The last 3 years have been better. No missed payments and slowly getting things back on track. My brother has an excellent credit score. I obv want to use the money I have, to go towards a property with him. would my chances be improved with the fact that my brothers score and credit history is perfect..?

@Wallsballs09 No missed payments in the last 3 years, no defaults/CCJs, you should have options with a 10%+ deposit. At 5% it may be tricky.

We will have a 12% deposit between the both of us. Myself £10000 and my brother £16000. The deposit isn’t the issue. My brother doesn’t earn enough to do it himself. He needs my income aswell. I’m just worried my history and not so great report will jeopardise it for us, even though his credit status is perfect.0

Do remember that the score is only seen by you, your history is what is taken into account.0
