Ford focus1.6tdci

I purchased my 2008 ford focus 1.6tdci in January this year. The day after purchasing the car I had engine malfunction light on. I had this fixed by a Ford specialist. It was the diesel additive control module which cost £400. I've also had a major service and mot done ✔it passed thank goodness but I've still got smoke grey/blue in colour coming from exhaust and fumes coming into car. It starts but sounds like it's having trouble to tick over. Any ideas on what this could be? I brought this car to take my children out, being a single parent now, I couldn't afford finance for a new one. my family have always loved the Ford focus and I love it , just a shame I've had these problems  I was given 3 months warranty but I've found out the garage went bust a few years ago.and he's not answering me. Please please help.

I am confused by the dates in your post.  You say you bought the car this year (January), had a 3 month warranty (so, you might still be in time), but the garage went bust "a few years ago" and you can't contact them.

With regard to the warranty, is there any paperwork with this?  It may be an insurance backed product so you can contact the warranty company direct and not worry whether the garage is still trading or not.  

Did you try to claim the original fault the day after purchase under warranty?  If not, why not?
