A new chapter begins

Hi there I do have a new chapter beginning in August when my state pension starts received my invitation to apply today but I actually left work 31 Oct last year as I took voluntary redundancy I had been there 9 years so didn't get much but foolishly thought I could make it last till August,a big day NO there, so I thought a diary would keep me accountable.
Will try and post every day
Have just read seasidegal and hairys entire posts and enjoyed them hope mine will be as interesting

At little bit about me in 2007 our world changed I was working and my husband had his own business and we got custody of our grandson who was 3 1\2 I left my job I was lucky enough to be able to. Then in 2010 my husband lost both businesses and I looked for a job took 1 year to get a job in a shop in the high at and I stayed there 9years and enjoyed it.
I received my work pension and paid my dmp with full and final offers then I got my redundancy money which has nearly gone. I have learnt nothing.
I want to manage on my pension money. we are lucky as the mortgage is paid and only about £600 on my credit card so plan is to at that back and crack on with life x

Hi @anita55, so you are trying to be super frugal until August?
  • Hello anita55. So from August what will your income and expenditure be? What are you trying to achieve? I will follow with interest.

Well not much to be fair but my money cover s the dd 's and my husband s money used to pay the mortgage but to be fair I do dip into his bank account (naughty) when needed. He works in a pub 3 nights a week and buys the food which saves me going shopping as I hate it and he enjoys looking for bargins.
I suppose Baron that I'm trying to achieve a small emergency find and then just live a simple life with treats for my grandchildren. Doesn't sound exciting but I've had quite a shall we say interesting time of it. Thanks for asking x

Yes I am elbree I don't go anywhere, like all of us at the moment, and see a friend once a week but no spends there. I am lucky where my husband buys the food and I don't really have to buy anything unless I want to although I did but coffee for my 2 daughters and myself the other day but that was a treat  x
