MEX REWARDS

Hi there,
Had a cold caller at my house (Nottingham area) offering a free MEX Reward which supposed to give you discount for major retailers. You get an app and you just scan it as you shop! It costs £5 a month or if you switch to one of their utilities providers you get it for free!

I went through with it giving some of my details but when they couldn’t find a cheaper provider and insisted that I signed up made a bit skeptic! They claim MEX Rewards is part of the moneyexpert but don’t seem to find any information anywhere!

I didn’t sign up, was wondering if anyone has come across them and can provide any feedback?

thank you

    Dodgy app

Definitely nothing to do with Martin or the forum.

    Sounds like one to avoid

I avoid all cold callers - either at my door, through my letterbox or on the phone.

Hiya, just to chime in that a cold caller from this lot appeared at my door last night (Ipswich). Dodgy taste rewards type thing. Googled them an no results other than this page so sent them on their way. Seemed like a guy bussed in from London to the provinces.

We just had a doorstep visit from them too (Lincoln). I said no as well. Didn't find out lots about it though, I just don't want to sign up for things at the door. Their website suggests that you are committed to paying them  £5 a month unless you use their switch service at least once in a year  https://www.moneyexpert.com/rewards/terms-conditions/ section 5.

Just had same, cold caller at the door, (Manchester area) trying to flog a card that can save me money on EVERYTHING for £9.99 a month or £99 a year. 2 free cinema tickets and a £150 hotel voucher after 6 months. Will look into it but sounds very dodgy
