Just a quick checkin, and to be honest this wake up couldn’t come a moment too soon. Turns out we’ve hugely overspent this month, because I wasn’t really focussed/was quite stressed. So now we have a week until payday and no money left. We do, however have enough food and enough in the bank to cover the direct debit due this week. Pretty proud of myself, I meal planned the week’s meals from the freezer and used Clubcard vouchers to buy the few bits we needed - I only went 9p over the voucher amount! Hurray for scan and shop, so easy to keep track. This month (payday on the 25th) I’m going to make the change to Aldi/Lidl again and use Asda or maybe Iceland for our branded things (only a few). Pretty sure that will save us money, at least I hope so, but is more time consuming.
Mystery shopping for May was finally available for booking yesterday so that’s £60 bonus at the end of June plus 4 items to put away for birthdays and Christmas. And I am back to surveys, with my first £5 voucher ready to claim (I won’t though, I’m saving up!)
Today J (my little boy) had his swimming lesson and his activity of choice this afternoon was baking so we can have sweet treats all week and a free activity too! Hopefully tomorrow will be gardening, I have plenty seeds so planning to grow salad things and a whole load of wildflowers. Also potatoes, carrots and strawberries since we go through so many!
