Mortgage offer expiry

We sold our house in September, but it fell through 3 weeks ago. My mortgage offer for a new house expires on 8th May but I can extend it. We have yet to sell for a second time but have had a 2nd viewing today.

I have looked into porting my current mortgage which will save me a £3k early repayment fee as the amount decreased a lot over the last 6 months due to it being 5 year fixed and still having 3 years left. The rate is better on my current mortgage by 0.8% and its fixed until 2024 where as my offer is only 2 year fixed.

Would there be any issue with me letting my current mortgage offer expire and going with porting my current mortgage? I've chatted with my current mortgage company and they are happy for me to port it.

Thanks in advance.
