They are a little slow at the minute as they are one of the few lenders currently offering 95% mortgages.
It is currently taking about a week to assess applications.

  • Hi, Just wanted to give some details of where we are at the minute.
I am with Accord and was very skeptical to begin with.
Got intouch with mortgage broker - 11/05/21
Mortgage broker found us a deal with Accord 12/05/21
Broker put the full application in  - 14/05/21
checked credit file and hard search by accord carried out - 14/05/21
vendor emailed to say valuation carried out - 17/05/21
Just hoping the valuation went well and it will be plain sailing from here.

Exciting update. I cant believe how quick this was.

After application going in Friday 14/05/21 (late afternoon too)
Valuation was done on the Monday 17/05/21
Mortgage broker emailed our mortgage offer on the Tuesday 18/05/21
    2.5  working days.
Very happy to say the least.
  • I’ve had my mortgage broker put our mortgage through on 19th November.
26th November accord asked my partners share code as she’s European. Hard search and valuation booked on the same day.
6th December valuation will be carried out.

hopefully to hear from broker early next week on our mortgage offer.

I thought I'd resurrect an active thread rather than starting a new one - new Accord applicant checking in!

So far, my (truly excellent) mortgage broker has submitted a soft check application which has been successful.

Tomorrow, she will submit the full thing with me at 16:00 - eek! Reading back through this (although most posts are 2+ years old), it seems they are quick, pragmatic and arrange valuations relatively fast. I hope this hasn't changed. What will be will be...

Edit: offer received today! 13th full application to 17th offer - they are indeed extremely fast :)
