Mortgage Payment in Event of Death

Hello,
I have a question about mortgages.
I have been living with my common law partner for 13 years now.
The house is in her name but I contribute equally to the mortgage, upkeep and bills etc.
We are both now in our 50's and starting to think about making our wills.
One question we have is regarding the mortgage, if my partner died before me, would the mortgage (which is also insured) be paid off and go to me?
Alternatively, what would happen if I were to die first? I would assume that because my name isn't on the mortgage she would still have to pay it off.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

The mortgage won't 'go to you'. It's a debt, that would be settled from the estate, or via insurance or ultimately the sale of the house.
What happens to the property would depend on her will or rules of intestacy.
If you die first, she continues living in her property (if she wishes) and paying the mortgage.0
