Any CCTV engineers?

looking to change careers and was thinking of CCTV and Alarm engineers as a possible career change.

Anyone work in the area and can offer any advice?

    How good are you at electronics? There's a fair bit of making up cables and nowadays, CCTV involves a fair whack of IT as well due to many systems now doing PC based hard drive recording.
    You also need to be happy working on ladders and crawling through small spaces. Theres plenty of work but it's not as easy as you think it is.
