Where on my tax return do I declare my SEISS?

I thought I had included my Self-Employed Income Supports Scheme grants on my self-assessment tax return, but when I got to the end of the return it informed me that I hadn't. Which section of the form should I include the payments in?

  • There is a clear question under ‘Calculating your taxable profits’

Self Employed Income Support Scheme Grant

Thankyou. I don't get this though.

I have two self employments. I had entered the correct figure for SEISS in the SE1 section.

In SE2 it was "optional" so I left the box blank.

However, when I tried to view my calculation an error appeared a[[eared saying the amount I enter3ed did nt match the figure HMRC held for me. Even though it did...should enter the figure elsewhere? What is going on?

You will have to telephone HMRC. Perhaps the SEISS is linked to your UTR and the system can’t cope with two self-employments in that instance. Really don’t know the answer.

The notes on SA103S explain how to apportion SEISS payments between multiple self employments. Try allocating between the two on the basis of the average profits used for the SEISS claims.

I did try to phone HMRC but an automated voice kicked me off as the queue was too long. I will wait.

Have you tried splitting it as I suggested?
