No pension, should I worry about this?

It would appear that the poster should pay a pension. It would seem a positive thing that some benefits do not penalise pension provisions0

Thanks for your responses.
It looks like currently I am eligible for the full pension, so long as I work for the next 12 years (or if HMRC continue to pay NI-3 credits). If I do not pay into a pension, that means I would get full Pension Credit. If I DO pay into a pension, this is classed as income and I may only be eligible for the basic (or thereabouts) pension, however, this is topped up by the pension income, which combined will take me higher than £10k. If I do take a pension, is the capital expected to be used for private care homes etc should I need one? This is probably a different thread that I need to look up, but if there is any help on here that is great
The money I will be able to save now will not be a lot, but hopefully it will be enough for me to have 'some' spare money for a few little luxuries, with out me living indefinitely on the breadline. 0
