Mortgage - habito or direct?

Hello
I’m sorry if this is an silly question but I’m new to all of this. We have put an offer in on a house and it’s been accepted and we have started the mortgage process with habito - just up to the point they’ve recommended HSBC as a lender not uploaded documents etc. Now I’m wondering if it would be quicker just to go direct to HSBC myself as I’m already a customer there so might be a slicker process. Can I (and should I) ditch habito at this point? Came on here and read some poor reviews and have lost my confidence in them as the reviews say after this point it gets messier with them.

It’s a straightforward application - ltv 75%, 4 times salary, no debt, no poor credit so should be simple
Trying and hoping to beat the stamp duty deadline but realise this might not be possible- anything that makes it quicker might help tho.
many thanks

I originally thought about using London & Country but similarly found them super slow, even in the initial processes.
I ended up doing my application directly with First Direct (division of HSBC). I'm an existing customer and found the process super easy and much faster. An extra bonus has been when my Conveyancer is giving me a silent treatment, I can ring First Direct and can get updates super fast with no hassle. I'm now about 9 weeks into the process since 1st viewing and have an exchange/completion in a week! In hindsight, I'm grateful for not adding an extra party I had to rely on and chase on
