Tsb getting consent to let
![[Deleted User]](https://us-noi.v-cdn.net/6031891/uploads/defaultavatar/nFA7H6UNOO0N5.jpg)

I've asked tsb for consent to let for 12 months as we had to move for work.
They initially said yes no problem just need permission from help to buy and insurance.
I've got both those things and now tsb are making me jump through a whole application instead.
They said criteria has failed so now need to go through an application with no end date in site.
Everyone else I have spoken to said they've got permission over the phone easy.
Anyone know if this is normal behaviour from tsb and if they'll reject our request for consent to let? (no idea why they care and wont just say yes as long as they get paid!
If anyone else has gone through this hoe long did consent to let team take to get back to you and what was the whole application process?
Thanks

@nadia91 From what I can see, most lenders are being quite flexible with EWS related consent to lets.
Did they say what criteria they are referring to? They might have a simple rental test - mortgage payment should be less than x% of the expected monthly rent, or something like that.
And what do you mean by a "whole application", is it a BTL mortgage application?I am a Mortgage Adviser - You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. They need another application to get consent to let. No idea what this entails.
They need help to buy to give permission to let but help to buy won't give permission until tsb give permission.
No one will budge so I can't even start the application process because of this.
Others said they called up and were given permission iver the phone but I've been trying for 2 months now and no one will budge0 -

I would recommend using MSE resolver to submit the complaint, it's an excellent tool and will guide you through the escalation process as well if needed.
