Amazon parcel just arrived when I haven't ordered anything

Just had the Amazon bloke drop off a Prime parcel correctly addressed to me despite the fact that I haven't ordered anything recently and haven't had any emails from them about a delivery.  I have no idea what's in the box.

Suggestions please as to where I go from here?

It’s a known Scam, the police are aware.

Look at your amazon account to check, then check your bank to see whether you've paid for it then presumably open it - don't suggest you hand it over to a stranger who knocks on your door claiming they've lost their parcel though

If not yours then tell Amazon

Thanks folks but by a complete fluke I've just solved the mystery myself.  It's an item I ordered from an Ebay seller, delivered by Amazon logistics in an Amazon Prime box.  No mention of Amazon anywhere on the seller's listing, and if it wasn't for the tracking number he gave, I'd still be in the dark.

    Weird or what?

Happened to me too, sometimes a good idea to check if supplier is dealing with eBay and Amazon can be cheaper on one only.

Quite common - it's often cheaper to buy on ebay (particularly if it's below the £20 Amazon minimum charge for free delivery) and the 'seller' then uses their own Prime account to get the item delivered to you free the following day.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
