Remortgage Stamp Duty Advice

Hi
I need to remortgage to take ex off (they were paid off some time ago).
I contacted two Mortgage brokers from MSE, neither can tell me if i would pay stamp duty!
1) paid £58950 in 1995
2) valuation approx £170 now
3) paid ex off in 2014
4) remortgage for £56500
ease help! to be honest the advice i have received from two different brokers has been 'pants' little knowledge on this and terrible recommendations for my specific case.

To be fair, brokers should not be giving advice on SDLT anyway, that is outside their area and one for your solicitor, but your answers are here:
