Online Teaching. Which option/site is best?

Options
I'm looking to do some online teaching.

Initially I want to do this on the side. The idea is that if I enjoy it I can retire from my main job. I'm fortunate that I don't need it to earn a significant amount. Just looking for something to keep my brain active in retirement.

I've done a google search and there are a myriad of options/sites for online teaching. Anyone have any recommendations?

I could create courses or teach in the following areas:

  • IT (Software Project Management, Business Analysis, Testing)
  • Accounting (setting up and running a set of ledgers for a business along with submitting corporation tax, etc).
  • Property investment and managing a property portfolio
  • Mathematics (up to GCSE level)
  • Using software (e.g. Microsoft Project, Office)
  • Setting up a website (nothing advanced here. Just using Wix)
  • Setting up a new business (help with funding, creating a business plan, profit and loss forecast, etc).
Thanks in advance for any feedback.

If you google "how to set up an online teaching business" lots of info pops up about how and where to begin.

You have to be competitive though to stand out amongst the crowd - for example, what kind of qualifications do you have in the areas you have chosen? There's a lot to think about and lots of help online, too.

  • I wasn't very clear in my request. I'm not looking to set up an online teaching business.

I just want to work for one on a part time basis. There are so many out there I wanted to know if anyone has used one and can recommend.
