corned beef
Past few times I have bought fresh corned beef in slices, they don't come out of the packs in clean slices. They stick together and come out in bits. Anything I'm doing wrong?
Will not buy canned corned beef as I cut myself very badly some years back and put off buying it again.

Let the pack come to room temperature, then gently put the end of a knife between the slices to separate.0

I would disagree with the above, if it’s left to get to room temperature the fat warns up and the slices stick together. I have never had a problem with the slices sticking together when I take straight out of a cold fridge.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Agree with the fridge thing, that's what I always did when I bought slices.1

I've never had corned beef slices, but some sliced cheeses do this (Mexicana is the worst!) and I've found a metal spatula/fish slice works well to get between slices and keep them whole.0

I won't buy corned beef now. Brazilian government standards aren't as good as EU standard Brazilian xorned beef.1

Ready sliced corned beef from Tesco is British beef. More expensive obviously, but what price the planet?1

It's because they are left out the cold chain too long in the supermarkets while they are filling the shelves etc.0
