i have a different view - feel free to ignore it

you kindly - very kindly - offered your friend an interest free loan with repayments due starting in may

you should not be poking into your friend's affairs trying to see what they are doing with it. It is none of your business (no offence!). All that concerns you is are the repayments being made.

apologies if i have worded this insensitively.

She's blown it and can't pay it back. She is hoping to find a means of making the repayments to you. Good luck.

I`d be interested to know if May1st has brought any resolution to this matter.

Why did you advance the money in full before it was needed? It would make more sense for you to have provided it as it became needed.
