REMO advice

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone would be able to give advice or point me in the right direction. My ex wife took our son to Sweden 6 years ago and has since refused to tell me where they live or even let me know when theyre back in the UK for visits. I always supported her financially, even when I lost my job and she demanded my dole money when she was getting more than I was. 4 years ago I stopped giving her money because she had remarried, changed my sons surname and woukdnt permit me any kind of access to him - I am on the birth certificate. I have just received an order from Swedish Courts which I have not yet translated, but I believe she wants backdated money from me. Is this enforceable under current legislation considering she will not give me any kind of access to him and I haven't seen him since they left?

Yes under REMO it is enforceable I believe

I imagine it would be enforceable because child maintenance is not based on a pay per view. I suggest you speak to a solicitor about this and also contact with your son.
