Im going to buy my mum and dad new laptops.
my mum has one,but i was kind enough to break the power connection at the back, and its now not very portable. and my dad doesnt have one, so ill get him one too.
ive been looking at refurbs on ebay as their cheaper, and my work has bought a few from teir1online that have been great.
i was also considering going to ebuyer and getting the cheap one they have that seems decent. (promo codes anyone?!)
neither of them do anything on them bar browse the web, so it doesnt have to be great... just wireless and thats about it..
if anyone has any suggestions that would be great as im looking to get the best deal possible, cause im skint till i go to raf in jan.
cheers!

You're skint but you're going to buy TWO laptops?
Why do they need one each anyway?0 -
well, my mum and dad are seperated first of all, so i dont think theyd share too well
haha
and mym mum is totally put off using hers because it has to be plugged in all of the time now.
and my dad was treated for cancer recently and has had a pretty hard time of it. so hes not up on his desktop a lot, so if i get him something to just sit on the table next to his chair im sure hed love it.
yea,its def. not what id idealy be wanting to buy em, but both would really benefit from one.0 -
I got a refurbed dell from the dell ebay outlet which was about half retail so might be worth a look.
They were high spec laptops so not cheap absolutely but cheap for what they are if you see what I mean0
