Does anyone have any experience of this happening? Specifically Aldermore. They closed my case and refunded my valuation fee as some requested information wasn't provided fast enough (email fault, I'd sent the info several times) my broker said there are two options, they might reopen the existing case or they may ask that we resubmit the application entirely. Won't know the outcome til tomorrow so like so many other people, I'm looking for anecdotal evidence to base my guessing on 😅

@clj2986 I have had maybe 1 or 2 times that this has happened in all my years of broking (not Aldermore). Each time it was due to the customer going awol and impossible to contact. As I never had to resume the application, I'm afraid I don't really know what the process is. I would hope that the lender would reopen the same case. Good luck!PS: Where did the information/documents go missing?

Not a clue, but my broker is telling me she hasn't received it at all. She checked her spam folder while I was on the phone apparently. I think it's been a combination of they haven't received my emails and probably thought I'd given up on it, and I didn't want to keep hounding them so didn't chase up to make sure it had arrived. On the bright side we haven't been declined as I originally thought so there's still hope! And thanks, fingers crossed I'll find out tomorrow 🤞1

I had an application with Nationwide cancelled as I took too long getting payslips to them (my employers fault, they used Covid-19 as a reason to not issue Dec and Jan payslips until the end of Feb!) I believe my broker restarted the application and everything was submitted again. Took about a week from full application to approval.0

Ah thanks for that. Hoping to hear from my broker soon to find out what the plan is.Wren14 said:I had an application with Nationwide cancelled as I took too long getting payslips to them (my employers fault, they used Covid-19 as a reason to not issue Dec and Jan payslips until the end of Feb!) Because its so frustrating when there is no outcome on threads like these for people that stumble on them, I thought I would update to say our application was resubmitted today as opposed to the case being reopened.1

Hopefully it will go through without any problems for you
