  • Hi , I was in the same boat as you , got the Wii with 1 remote and 1 nunchuck . Then someone said thats ok for 1 player but you need the same again for 2 players , so I managed to get Wii Play , a mini game that comes with a remote for £39.99 in Toys R Us and while I was there they also had the nunchuck for £14.99 .

If you got the Wii from a shop it should come with 1 remote and 1 nunchuck already , so all you need is another remote and nunchuck and away you go

And get rechargeable batteries for the remotes , they eat them alive ! lol

  • Lil me.

We bought the Wii - soon realised that as a minimum, yo need:-

    2 Wii Remotes
    2 Nunchuck controllers

Thats the only way to avoid disputes as it allows for 2 players to use the damn thing.

Right, thanks, so I need a remote and a nunchuck thing, and batteries. It has got some bat shaped ? things in a box with Wii sports, looks like I am going to have to hunt for the controllers :(

Oh does anyone know, are the controllers, nunchucks and games region free? Don't want to end up with something that won't work.

  • Wii games are not region free.

i scoured the world for controllers to no avail and then found some in my local gamestation.

You really need to get some rechargable batteries for them.
It's not paranoia if they really are after you.
  • In the end I chanced the "opportunists" on fleabay and have ordered this set

Ebay item 120198897408, you will have to look it up yourself as I know they will strip out ebay links.

He still has some left, they are official but imports and he is only sending via special delivery so you should get them before Xmas. Price is only just over UK retail (about a pound) with £7.50 delivery, but not too bad considering I've left it till the week before Xmas.

Some chancers on there are trying to charge £50 just for a controller and not even the nunchuck !!
  • does anybody know where i can get a wii remote in bristol:(
