Furloughed on last year's contract.

Hello,
I was recently furloughed on a part time contract (25hours), on the understanding I would receive furlough pay for my full time contract (46 hours). My first pay was low so I quieried it. I was told furlough payments were based on the 2020 contract/payslips. I was on a 20 hr/wk contract in 2020. Is it correct that they are ignoring my present full time contract that I have had for 7/8 months?
Thank you
Helen

An employer can only claim CJRS based on what you were paid at the relevant times, which can be as early as the last pay period before 20 March 2020 for fixed rate employees, or the average of 2019/20 or equivalent pay period last year for others. This applies even if you change from full time to part time, or vice versa. If that is what your furlough agreement says you will be paid, that is what you get paid.0

Thank you for your reply,
It says 80% of current wage.

As Jeremy has pointed out there are two elements. The first is how much the employer can claim under the scheme which is defined in the rules. So e.g. if your employer furloughed you in the first lockdown and you had a fixed contract of 20 hours then they can only claim 20 hours under CRJS.
The second element is what your furlough agreement with your employer says. From what you have said it sounds possible that your employer can claim 20 hours but your furlough agreement means they need to pay you 80% of the 45 hours.0
