Kensington Mortgages

Hi everyone

This is the first time I’ve posted, so hoping it helps.

My husband and I are first time buyers and have been approved for the help to buy scheme.
My husband has an excellent credit score and credit history. Unfortunately I got into debt 5 years ago and went on a DMP.
last year I paid off my DMP early and haven’t had any defaults/missed payments for the last three years.
On the 19/03 we got a DIP with Kensington Mortgages.
On the 24/03 we sent the full application and the day after the underwriter requested a copy of my husbands March payslip, which was sent on the 25/03. As my mortgage advisor said that the underwriter needs to tick off the affordability section.
Today the valuation has been booked for Wednesday.

would I be safe in thinking that we have passed all the checks now that (1) the underwriter hasn’t asked for more documents and (2) the valuation has been booked.

the new build company are asking us to pick interiors and pay 50% of the extras, I feel a bit nervous as we haven’t had the offer yet.

grateful for any help/advice

    Hi,

We put our application into Kensington last Thursday 8/4.  So far we've sent 3 payslips, last years P60's and proof of deposit but not heard anything since.

    How is your application going?

    Hi,
How are both of yours going now? Have you both eventually had your offers?

    Hi,

We had to withdraw the mortgage application as the property came back as non standard construction. Kensington wanted 20% deposit and the vender wouldn't budge on price. We found a new property but going through vida homeloans
