Job hunting and sickness record

I work in the nhs and am currently off with work related stress I am looking and applying for new jobs in the past year I have been off with stress once before for a couple of days this time it’s been longer and a couple of sickness bugs for 3 days each time will this go against me when applying for jobs

    Even it does, there is nothing you could practically do about it. Employers tend to pick the candidate who they believe will be the best in that role and will cause the least disruption. Most jobs have a stress factor, so be careful what you apply for and concentrate on being the best candidate possible.
