Finding a broker on unbiased website

I’m doing research with a view to getting a 90% mortgage in summer to buy a property in the 200-220k range. Has anyone got recent experience of using a broker they found on the unbiased website.

@johndoe67812 I'm not on either lead-gen website, but have heard more positive feedback about vouchedfor than unbiased. To be clear, this is purely anecdotal and from brokers' viewpoints.

Unbiased used to be an IFA directory. However, it stopped being that many years ago. Now it is a lead generation site for restricted (not whole of market) and everyone else. Most of the IFA firms I know no longer pay for an unbiased entry.
Google is probably one of the best nowadays.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

Unbiased is a company that promotes brokers who pay ahead of brokers who do not pay... Seems like false advertising to me but what do I know.

There are some adviser firms that totally rely on business via vouchedfor or similar where they pester people to leave reviews just after they complete the initial service (when the person is likely to be at their happiest). However, those review sites are expensive to be on. One was taking 50% of the adviser payment for each successful lead they generated from them. So, the adviser firms had to increase their fees to cover it.
You generally find the successful and good quality firms do not pay for any listings on review sites as they do not need to. So, they can appear to be under the radar apart from local reputation and appearing on google searches.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
