Part of deposit coming from estate account

Part of the deposit for an upcoming house purchase is coming from the estate account of a grandparent. Would a gifted deposit form need to be filled in? Would it be better to transfer direct to the bank account of the person buying the property now? What proof would solicitor need for anti money laundering purposes? They have only just made the offer.

Is it the borrower's own inheritance or being passed to them by somebody else? If the former then it's their money, not a "gift".0
