Recommend a broker

Hi, I'm not sure if it's allowed, but does anyone have any recommendations for a broker to help me buy my first house.
I'm looking for a 5% deposit place and will have the deposit 4 weeks from now.
But have a dro that will drop off my file in may/June time after its 6 years.
Ideally I'd like as little as possible upfront.
But don't mind a fee if I get a better deal or faster, better service.
I really know not a lot about all of this, and think a broker may make things simpler from my point of view.
Thanks for any help.

Some of us have used the brokers who comment of the threads.
As I've adverse history I used @ACGMortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
I second that. There are only a few brokers on this forum and they are all clearly knowledgeable and experienced - @ACG, @K_S, @Deleted_User and @kingstreet.
Except for kingstreet the rest do advise forumites so I would say just DM them, ask about their terms, and see whom you prefer. I used one of them for my last mortgage and they were really good with setting me up with a very decent rate with a quite complex background.

Thanks. But I am not sure this is one for me.MovingForwards said:Some of us have used the brokers who comment of the threads.

We are pretty much booked up at the minute so I have to be selective with what we take on. I am not confident this could be placed at 95%. It will be interesting to see what these 95% products look like over the next week or 2.
Fitting criteria is one thing, but a lot of companies hold internal records going back more than 6 years, some lenders ask if you have ever been bankrupt so this could be quite tricky to overcome. Until I get to grips with the 95% products/criteria as I am lead to believe it will be more restrictive we are probably not going to be doing 95% mortgages for a few weeks.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. @james-may With a DRO discharged over 6 years ago, in June you *should* theoretically have access to at least a few mainstream lenders. The pool of potential lenders will also depend on the specifics of your past creditors.James-may said:Hi, I'm not sure if it's allowed, but does anyone have any recommendations for a broker to help me buy my first house.

If you're happy to wait for the DRO to fall off, it's probably a bit too early to approach a broker at this point as we don't really know too much about the criteria for the 95% products yet. I would suggest waiting till it's closer to June before approaching a broker. By then, it should be pretty clear.I am a Mortgage Adviser - You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
