Shaw brook Bank new windows referral.
Thought id try Anglican windows for double glazing.
Though credit terms were acceptable and contract signed electronically , later into sales vid call a referral came back to salesperson.
This was after I agreed to pay almost 200 pounds deposit.
Though not a complete shock, what realistic chance is there of passing this credit referral
Today I continue to be accepted for credit in respect of new Nationwide current account and up to 1500 overdraft (accepted 250
I have also re paid 5k lendable loan in full.
Whilst I appreciate both points take weeks or months to show via CRA reports, can they help with yesterdays referral.
thanks

Have you asked your neighbours for recommendations for windows. Surely there will be other firms who could beat the quote from Anglican.Id go with someone else other than Anglican Windows.3

thanks, Anglican idea taken from Adverts, though their website is quite impressive.DCFC79 said:Have you asked your neighbours for recommendations for windows. Surely there will be other firms who could beat the quote from Anglican.Id go with someone else other than Anglican Windows.
Seems a genuine company and very reasonable, hassle free and hopefully professional.
Allowing time for final answer at the very least.

I'm aware but it is specifically aimed at Dandytf, you can read his previous posts if you want to get an idea of why.The_Real_Cheddar_Bob said:

Hopefully, you get declined. Unless there's a desperate need for new windows that can't be resolved by just repairing the existing ones you're far better off saving up for them instead of paying 10+% APR over several years.
And why have you applied for another current account and overdraft?
On second thought, don't bother answering that.
If credit was never available, the price of things would be less0

is that including WagesIf credit was never available, the price of things would be less
New account to return in some respect to Nationwide current account
Once opened I'll make a small deposit into a new .75% 18 month Cash isa.
Nationwide have proved to be excellent Mortgage providers.

Saving money at 0.75% then taking out finance at 10% makes no sense.Dandytf said:

            @2021BJ
New windows makes sense, I don't mind paying for the privilege.
Seems that could be some time yet, though confident recent financial steps, help find a new way forward.
p.s. Natwide cash isa is not going to hold much, just an alternative to exceptionally low instant access.

They don't make any sense if you're having to borrow money to pay for them.Dandytf said:@2021BJ

Even if they were single glazing units, you'll be paying more in interest than you'll be paying on increased energy usage. Perhaps if you have no windows at all it would make sense.4

thanks reply's to this recent thread.
Today Anglican Windows/Sales rep has found HFC Personal Finance.
Cost agreed 60 pounds per month across a few years, though as I improve financially, i'm looking to clear 3-4 years max.
 Looking forward to home improvements.

Only concern is the term, though I intend to at least half 96 months, 36,38 or 40.
