Link Financial status in default but credit report says no defaults

HI, really hoping that someone is more knowledgeable than me and can help. I have a DMP which I started paying on in 2016. The debt was sold to Link Financial and the DMP company deal with them. However on Clearscore it shows missed payment in 2016 when the account originally went into default. No more missed payments or defaults since then, I was hoping that this would go off my report in 2022 but the Link Financial account says in default but is updated each month. Is this account going to stay on there indefinitely even though it says in default as there is no default date? I'm really confused.

I’m not sure they show the default dates on ClearScore. Just the info markers. On the full credit reports, Experian, Equifax etc then the date is clearly marked. Maybe worth getting your free statutory reports to see what is accurately reported. If the account is in default it will go eventually.
By the way, you can view Experian straight away by signing up to their subscription. Just remember to cancel within 7 days. I can confirm that it is easy to do, no catches.0 -
