Buying insurance before completion

We have finally exchanged today! Complete on the 6th of April.
We'd like to take out life insurance but everywhere I've read is to not do anything that might do a credit check before we have completed in case the lender does another search.
Could anyone advise if there is any risk to taking out life insurance before completion?
