...what do I do next please? I've never had to claim anything before.
So, Mr Frog's employer gave him his SSP1 today. His last day of SSP is TODAY after 6 months. You all told me they could have given it to him weeks ago but ho hum.
I filled in a claim online for ESA and the computer said I will hear in 5 weeks. So I guess we're 5 weeks with defo no money (don't get out the violins I do have some wages myself).
I also applied for UC (because the computer told me to try) and I had to fill in a claim for both of us (!) even though I'm working? I don't think we will be entitled to anything. I take home £1077 a month.
Employer has filled in the SSP1 form. What do I do with this? It does not say anywhere on the form that I'm supposed to do anything with it? It doesn't tell me to send it off to anyone? It just says what to do if I disagree with it, which I don't because I knew he was at the end of SSP.
Do I just sit back on the Lilly pad and wait?

I just noticed that they only filled in Part A, and didn't fill in B and C. It says they should fill AB and C in. So now I guess I've got to get it back to them! This afternoon has been a real eye opener. I've been sitting here for 3 hours trying to fill in forms and verify ID, for both of us! You cant use the same email address, we only have one email, you can't use the same phone, we share a phone! I'm off to eat some chocolate.Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

You can set up as many email addresses as you want frogga@gmail.com, frogga@hotmail.com, mrfrogga@... etc1

Well I didn't know that? I used my sons so it was ok in the end, just annoying, but I've got over it now

You're not being thick. The SSP1 form should tell you what to do with it, but it doesn't. As far I know you hang onto it in case the DWP ask for it as part of you husband's application for ESA. If you have savings of over £16,000 you definitely, won't be eligible for Universal Credit, and if you have savings of over £6,000, I think that these savings plus your earnings will mean that you won't receive any Universal Credit, unless you have children or rent your home. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.1

You can also have them all landing in the same place, and Frogga Junior MIGHT be able to set up a filter or rule which sends everything from UC / ESA / whoever direct to wherever you look at your email. The risk with that is that it might pick up more emails than you want it to, or fewer, until you get the settings right.68ComebackSpecial said:You can set up as many email addresses as you want frogga@gmail.com, frogga@hotmail.com, mrfrogga@... etc
Techie board will help with that kind of thing, or send me a PM with your email address and I'll try to help if you're interested.Signature removed for peace of mind1 -
Thank you tacpot, I read it all over and it really doesn't tell you what to do with it does it? I shall just keep it safe then. When I filled in the form online, they asked to see the sick note, so I uploaded it, as I had scanned it on a photocopier. They rejected it as the computer said it wasn't good enough to read, but it was actually extremely clear. I have to put that in the post now.
We only have £2200 in savings so that isn't an issue, and we do have tadpoles but they are big (23 and 25) so we don't have to worry about them, and we don't have a mortgage anymore, yippee. We are VERY lucky.
Thank you Savvy Sue. The Tadpole has said he will look out for any emails so I don't need to divert them, but thank you very much for your offer of help. That's why I like this place, everyone is very helpful xxxSay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Surely the SSP1 top of page 3 should say "I understand .... the day before I have written in part C of this form." ?

Froggy,
Does the fit note have a doctor's signature on it?
Did the computer give you an address to send the fit note to? You could send the fit note and the replacement SSP1 to the address.

By the way, if the tadpoles are still at home, I'd hope they will realise that this changes the household financial situation, and react appropriately.
From your other thread, I'd also recruit the tadpoles in getting Mr Frog out of the house ...Signature removed for peace of mind1 -
Yes it says exactly that on page 3, but then they didn't fill it in! (They are a bit useless)Surely the SSP1 top of page 3 should say "I understand .... the day before I have written in part C of this form." ?

Sick note does have GP squiggle on it yes, and I have posted t tot hem this morning.
Tadpole 2 is at home, and just recently gave tadpole 1 money for a deposit on her pad, and also just paid for new windows and doors, so yes, he's a good tadpole and does step up and help very much

Hmmm but the SSP1 I linked to says "part B"
I replied to your other comment elsewhere that the fit note may be rejected because it does not give a medical condition on it. and maybe he will only be entitled during the shielding period with that fit note.1
