Loans eligibility calculator - dependants question

Hi, 

We’ve been using the loan eligibility calculator, but are unsure of how to answer the question - how much do you spend looking after dependants? We’re a one income family (with 2 adults and 2 kids) so the answer must be 3 dependants, but there’s no specific amount that gets spent on each dependant. We have no fixed costs (other than mortgage) - no childcare / credit cards or anything like that. Food, utility bills etc are obviously just shared resources. It would be impossible to calculate the cost per person. 

I’m not entirely sure what type of costs it’s asking for there.

Any thoughts/advice?

It doesn't particularly matter, as the calculator is a rough guide at best. I would just throw in a figure for food and clothing, plus any clubs or hobbies etc.

Just look at your weekly supermarket shop(s) and add them up for the last couple of months then divide by the number of weeks for example

I have same question, although all bills go through my account, me and my wife both work sharing mortgage payments.
When I apply do I put my share of bills or full amount?

It will vary on the lender you're applying to. Once you see the specific questions, ask them (or here) if you're not sure.
