Contract change

I have been furlough since Nov 20 I normally work 23hrs per week as per contract on a golf course, and have done since I started 6 years ago ,   I received a phone call yesterday from my employer saying they want to change my contract to a zero hours contract . I told them i was happy with my current contract  that didn't go down well and they said it wasn't my choice, and they will be writing to me, I have checked my contract and in the changes to terms of employment says, { The club reserves the right to make reasonable amendments to your terms and conditions of employment. any changes or amendments to the terms of your employment will be confirmed to you in writing within one month of them taking effect.} I don't think changing to a zero hours contract would be classed as reasonable any thoughts please.

You could remind them of some of the terms that come with a zero hours contract.

Two quite important ones in relation to them running their business.

They can no longer decide when you are working as you can turn down any offers of work.

They cannot restrict you working elsewhere any time you want

When they open up could that impact their operations if you decided you wanted a day off no need to book holidays
