So if I get called up to work 1 hour to cover a busy period I have to be paid for 9-5 hours even though I only work 1 hour? Or I just get paid for that 1 hour worked?

That is how i read that link, did you have a look, its from Unison, so I'm assuming it's accurate, but maybe try and do a goggle on the phrase in the link and bring it up on the gov.uk website.
It definitely reads to me, if you are on flexi furlough and are asked to work part of that day, then the whole day is classed as a working day and you are paid at full pay for the full day...... but I may be reading it wrong, depends how you read it and your employers I guess.

Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

    You cant do work that
    • makes money for your employer or a company linked or associated to your employer
    • provides services to your employer or a company linked or associated to your employer
While you're furloughed.  I'd ask for it in writing exactly what's expected of you on hours you're not working.
I'd of thought that being on call counts as a "service" to the employer.
