Have HSBC changed their mortgage application process in the last seven months?
We have been HSBC customers for over 25 years and applied to
them for a 25k mortgage about seven months ago (sale fell through). That
process involved a simple call to book a telephone appointment, after which we
supplied a few wage slips and waited a week or so for the offer.
This time, I must provide pension projections, driving licence, passport, and numerous other documents and information that HSBC already hold, or have had sight of, before I can even get a telephone appointment.
If I want to skip the two-hour appointment and forgo any mis-selling protection, I am asked to complete an extensive online application form answering questions HSBC already have the answers to.
Any ideas from other HSBC applicants who are also existing HSBC customers?
