But not if you’re MALCOLM MIDDLETON.
The dour Scot behind surprise festive No1 contender We’re All Going To Die thinks otherwise.
He says: “Dying is a bit like writing a letter to Santa. Unless you’ve been a good boy or girl you’re f*cked."
Initially quoted at 1000/1 to land at the top of the pile on December 25, bookmakers have slashed the odds for Malcolm’s seasonal ditty to 20/1.
Radio 1 jocks COLIN MURRAY, SCOTT MILLS, EDITH BOWMAN and ZANE LOWE have been hammering the song and are right behind the campaign to get an alternative track to the top of the charts this season.
Mills said: “Colin has decided what he wants to be Xmas number one this year and I am in total agreement with him.
“It’s a little different, saves the X-Factor from being number one again this year.”
Malcolm has recorded a special acoustic version of the track just for Music Biz readers.
