Marriage Allowance / WFH Relief

I recently discovered I am eligible to apply for Marriage Tax Allowance BUT I am also eligible to claim working from home tax relief having worked from home throughout the pandemic.

Before I submit my application I was wondering if it is possible to apply for both (given that they both lead to a change of tax code) or if I need to decide which one will benefit us most? Does anyone have any experience of this?

  • You can apply for both.

Applying for Marriage Allowance will reduce your Personal Allowance and WFH adds a bit back (as tax code allowances not Personal Allowance).
