Refund on mis-sold course; What are my rights?

Hello everyone.
I am in a situation and really hope someone could give me some advice and with the brilliant minds on this forum, I'm sure someone will know!
Basically, I signed up to a professional certification course in October last year. I was pressure sold the course "amazing bargain" "easy course" "price going up soon" "you'll get through it quickly, no problem" were all phrases used. I was told most people do the course in four months and I had a year to do it. Turns out that same person believes it takes 9-12 months on average. I was also told I could delay the start of the course, as I had constantly mentioned I was not in a place to start the course until the middle of this year. They told me "buy now to lock in the cheaper price and we'll start it for you when you're ready... After paying I was told the course could not be delayed.
I really need to try and get a refund as I will never pass this course now. Had I been given the right information I wouldn't have paid for the course.
Does anyone know what I can do? What are my rights in this situation?
Thanks,
Alex

you would need written evidence of what was said to prove that you were told incorrect information, otherwise there is no proof that you were misold the course.

selling the course by claiming it is a bargain and lock in the price now etc won't be enough reason to get a refund.

How much of the above do you have confirmed in writing? Do you have the name of the person to whom you spoke and details of when the call took place (phone bill should be able to help, unless you signed up on the spot so the date of payment could confirm)? How did you pay: credit card, debit card, paypal, bank transfer...?
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
