Health Insurance

Hi there I have power of attorney for my ex husband. He has has private health insurance since 2013 and one of the policy stipulations is that treatment of a medical condition which he had before date the insurance started is not covered. I know he had a degenerative neurological condition diagnosed several years prior to taking out this health cover. I my question is there any benefit from continuing with the policy as whatever the symptoms it might be argued that these could be related to his pre-existing condition? I would appreciate any comments please.

I doubt whatever the symptoms. In the light of pressures on the N.H.S if
affordable probably worth keeping.1 -
Is he well enough to have a discussion with about it, and does he recall if he discussed his condition with them when the policy was taken out?All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Thank you for the responses. He is not well enough to discuss the issue. If he had told them then it would have been reflected in the policy plan but that's not the case.0
